Second Life: Earn money with Earn2Life

A few weeks ago, I was exploring Second Life and looking for a way to make a few Lindens. There were many services which pretend to let you earn some quick Lindens. Most of them however were either for US only or just scams which didn’t pay off, after you did completed the task.

After a while, I found a reference to Earn2Life and tried it out. I was very surprised by the possibilities to make money.

First off, there are three ways to earn Lindens:

In-World Offers

  1. Pay4Visit

With Pay4Visit you get money, for visiting certain locations in Second Life and stay there for a certain amount of time. The payout is usually 1.5-2 L$ per minute stayed there. Most of the offers require you to stay 0-3 minutes and pay 2-6 Linden Dollar. It’s easy earned money and with next to no effort

  2. Pay4Picks

Pay4Pick pays you for placing certain locations as Picks (like Favorite locations) to your profile. Payout is usually 15-30 L$ per month. Downside is that you only have space for 10 Picks. But once a pick expires, you can replace it with a new one. Sometimes you’re lucky and get a pick which is only running for less than a week. In this case, you get the payment for the whole month and only have to advertise this pick for a few days.

Web Offers

Web offers requires you to install a toolbar and only works with Internet Explorer (and hence also only for users on Windows OS). Personally haven’t tried this ones yet, but they work similar to the in-world offers. You enable the bar, choose an offer and do the required task (like sign-up at this website, browse for a while or to a certain page, filling a survey etc.)

I hesitated to install the bar until now, as I’m easily suspicious about this kind of “Browser enhancements”. During the next few days I’m planing to test it and see if it’s safe to use. But before that, I have some stuff to do before, like doing some research on it and get a sandbox running to test it, as I don’t want to install it on my working machine.

CPP Offers (beta)

The newest addition to the Earn2Life service are CPP offers and currently in Beta phase. CPP is short for Contextual Posting Program and is gives you the possibility to advertise one of the offers (currently only Earn2Life itself, as it’s beta) in other Forums and/or communities. In order to prevent abuse, it’s required that Earn2Life first review your post before you post it.

Procedure

  1. Find the forum/thread/topic that you want to post at
  2. Think of a new topic or think of reply to an existing topic
  3. Send the post to us for review
  4. You get our approval
  5. You make the post at the forum and let us know
  6. If after 24 hours your post is still there we pay you L$30

Summary

So far, Earn2Life is a very good service and reliable too. In case of Pay4Visit you get the money instantly credited on your Earn2Life account which you can withdraw from any Earn2Life terminal, which can be found at the bottom of the post. Best thing with Earn2Life is: There is no minimum limit on Lindens you have to reach before you can withdraw. You can withdraw anytime as long as your Earn2Life account balance is positive.

I may post a few more tips on how to get some more money and how to increase your earnings with Earn2Life and other earn Linden services.

I do web offers from time to time. I have used Pay4Visit and Pay4Picks, but I find myself liking the web offers more. The payout is generally higher, and when you’ve done a specific amount (the number escapes me at the moment), you begin to receive higher payout offers(up to 500L). Like any other offer, you have the ability to pick and choose from a large pool, so if one asks for information you’re not comfortable parting with then you can just choose another.

One can’t expect to make vast amounts of Lindens using Earn2Life, but whatever route you take is a far better option than camping. It’s a good way to make a little spending money.

Very interesting, I’m going to look into this myself. Sounds like a good idea to earn some extra-cash!
