Starting with today I will be reviewing some of the many shops in Entropia and a little bit about them, their service and quality of content and for Entropians most important: the prices.
If you want to your (or your favorite) shop to be reviewed, send me a mail to silverberg.odessa@googlemail.com. From time to time i’ll pick up a random shop location for the review and completly unannounced so the shop owners can’t simply tweak their shop for the review to make it look better than it is.
Entropia Universe: Privacy exposed
A few days ago i received a message from a worried player, who discovered something alarming.
While browsing some logfiles, he accidently discovered that the Entropia Loader
was sending users private information to Google. A special Java Script is loaded everytime you start the Entropia Loader which collects and transmit information back to Google.
For people who aren’t familar with webdevelopment/programming: When you start the Entropia Loader, it loads a webside to display the news. This page is loaded everytime the Loader is started and is updated when you start and end the game.
At the bottom of the HTML page, a java script from ”http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js” is loaded and executed. The collected data is sent back to Google, including information about your operating system, browser, IP adress and other information gathered.
Entropia Universe: Gambling or Virtual World?
Since Entropia Universe (former known as Project Entropia) went gold, there was many threads and discussions if Entropia Universe is a real virtual world or just a camouflage for a casino.
There are many arguments for it being a casino but also some which speak against it.
When Project Entropia was first announced it’s developer MindArk PE AB (former known as MindArk AB), announced it as the first virtual world, where you can earn money by playing and that playing the game is for free. But is it really that easy?
